Goteborg purchases

As I've already told you, I was a good girl and didn't shop too much in Goteborg. Although Démo had told me to visit Gina Tricot sales, and I had to obey. I came across this dress I love there.

The belt was found in a second hand shop.

Apart from that, I purchased another dress and another belt in Beyond Retro and that was it. These booties are not new but I haven't show them to you yet.

SilviCi. What a great find this girl is! I adore the way she wears pants, those skinny belts with high waisted garments, those large bags so in the style of Alexa Chung and that retro taste all over her outfits. I love it.

My winter clogs

I don't feel like playing dress up today,  it's a good thing that I had this picture from last week! ;)

It was in November when I started to see clogs for next season, to read about them in blogs, to feel interested in. One day I was surfing on the net and came across these by Betsey Johnson and... have I already told you I adore Betsey Johnson? :)

Finally the perfect SJP tulle skirt.

I sold my beloved tulle skirt and thought I would never find the perfect one. But I did. B* had come across the perfect one and I talked to the seller to get my size.  I managed to have it in the smallest waist-size and she is already at home with me. I haven't worn it yet though.

Yesterday I saw this from the new collection by Moises de la Renta for Mango and it's the very same skirt!!! I'm so happy with my purchase. :)))

Sale-ebration

Ok, I know I said I would buy nothing for a while... but let me show you what happened and then tell me what you'd done. 

On Friday I had a mail from back-in-style to make a survey and I would get 20 dollars free for a next purchase. I did it, why not?

On Saturday, I received my 20 dollars discount code and looked at the conditions: Not necessary to spend a minimum... ^^

On Saturday evening I had a look at the web and came across these peep toes by Marc Jacobs.

They were my size and I don't have any pair by Marc Jacobs... I don't have any pair of black peep toes actually!!! Anita, you obviously need them. They were reduced to 50 dollars and the gift voucher worked. Besides, I have sold four pairs of shoes this week on eBay. How could I leave a pair of Marc Jacobs for 30 dollars? Tell me, how???!!!

So here they are, my new treasure, my first (but not last) pair of Marc Jacobs.

Saturday at flea market

Today I and my flatmate went to the flea market, as almost every Saturday. And came back plenty of new stuff for me, for her, for a friend, for my mum, for you and for me and the entire human race.

Then, we prepared a nutritious lunch...

And now she's having a nap while I show you our purchases... 3 bras by playtex, 11 pairs of tights by dim, 2 hats for next weekend (that we'll be in Sweden), 2 vintage bags for 1 euro each, two films and a jacket, that's it.

I'm wearing pants again!

Yesterday morning I was studying in my study room and kitchen (:P) when I saw a sunlight... dressed up in a rush and take the pictures before going to work.

I was wearing pants, which don't usually flatter me. But I find this different, they have a tiny waist that I love. I bought them halfpriced in Rome.

The blouse was purchased at Barajas airport and the shoes in New York. The ring is from Murano. Am I an international girl or not? :P

As for the jacket, it was a lovely present from the Sisters... :)

Although I dream every night with those shoes by Miss Bubblekiss or that dress from Modcloth, I've decided to go shopping just to my wardrobe. If I look consciously, I already have everything. It may be difficult, but also amusing.

It was obvious that Luella would be cloned in its S/S 2010 collection, but I never thought it would be so early!

These garments are from Boohoo, hence they're not gorgeous clones. But it shows we'll see many other versions for sure, isn't it great?! By the way, have you heard of Boohoo? It's a kind of crappy asos... LOL

Double-duty dressing

I'm not a great reader of magazines but since I travel so much I usually buy them to take it easy. If I'm in the airport, I tend to get British mags, which I found much more inspiring than the Spanish. Inspiration, that's it. The proof is in the pudding:

I decided to keep it in mind, since I had never seen such a combo in a Spanish magazine.  I loved it and  found it perfect to wear that party dress I bought for a New Year's Eve party some years ago and has been forgotten in my wardrobe since then.

Then, I thrifted this oversized shirt at Porta Portese for 1 euro, just knowing I would need it soon.

Yesterday night I felt like wearing a relaxed style and this was perfect. I added some perfume...

Less crappy stuff and a Mulberry bag

While I was looking at this gorgeous Mulberry Alexa bag, I thought that this new year I'll make some investment in my wardrobe. I already got some treasures last year, such as the Ava shoes by Minna Parikka or the black skirt by Escada. But I also purchased too many (cute but) worthless dresses by Primark and too many thrifted stuff I won't wear more than twice. I got some garments by H&M trend that I do love. And I have just bought a couple of shirts in Zara which I find to be great findings. I would like to get the right proportions in my closet this year, such as

25% funny stuff (primark, blanco, thrifted, ...)
25% 'quality basics' ( neither too quality nor too basics, I mean the best range garments by Zara and H&M trend)
25% vintage
25% designer or closet investments

Yes, that's how I want it to be this year. Do you have any guide when buying? Do you prefer ten bags of thirty euros or one bag of three hundred? As for me, I think the older I get, the posher I become.

Pues eso. Que necesito un Mulberry!! :P Que tengo millones de trapos en el armario y no cabemos todos en casa. Que como primer propósito para 2010 voy a comprar menos y voy a hacer algunas inversiones con cabeza. Que quiero un armario equilibrado. Y que cada año me hago más mayor y más pija. Os preguntaba si vosotr@s preferís comprar mucho, barato, bueno, caro, diez cosas de treinta o una de trescientos.

So I'm back in Africa. And finally my Christmas vacation was not that bad. I think I have shopped more than ever and of course I have had an amazing time in Rome!!! :)))) The final brooch was this morning when I was at the airport waiting for the 7.30 flight and realized the Zara in the terminal opened at 6.30 am... I was the first in the sales today! LOL.
