My illness

And finally I'm ill. I didn't go to work but stay at home (in bed with the macbook on and all the medicines scattered around) and trying to hang in there. Shoespanish will help me for sure.

Good luck look

A workmate phoned me before the exam to wish me luck, but she said it in English and pronounced it like 'Good look' instead of 'Good luck'. I laughed. -"A good look for sure!"- I answered. And we both laughed.

Everything is over and I'm here again. As for the exam, it was 'not as good' as it should have been, but it's up and I'm quiet and peaceful!

As I did the exam in Madrid and had to spend the weekend there alone, I bought my way back to happiness and spent the Sunday afternoon in those H&Ms in Gran Vía, which are my favourite H&Ms ever. (I thought of you B*! ) I would have bought everything and I was so sad that I ended up getting almost everything... :)))

I'll be back to Melilla tomorrow, but since my bf comes to stay with me this week I won't have time to upload but for visiting you in my work time. Meanwhile, let me show you this outfit, which was the last one before leaving. The wonderful blouse was a perfect gift from the lovely sisters. Thanks a bunch.

It's the final week to my important exam and I'm not taking my macbook, so I won`t blog while I'm away. I'll tell you when I get back. Have a great week everyone!

It's not me but them!

Ok, maybe I have a problem... but what do you think of these??

I absolutely loved them a year ago when they costed 80 pounds and now I stumble across them for 35.  They are getting tough!!!

Should they stay or should they go

I wanted to sell this blouse and skirt, hence I took this pictures. The blouse was purchased in a sale last year, it's really cute with some kind of ruffled front but in spite of being a size XS it was a little bit large for my bust. The skirt has been in my wardrobe for years and I have worn it many times. Although it has no flaws, I needed some room and I thought it was her turn.

But after taking the pictures, I've realized the blouse is no longer large and I do love this skirt, so I'm considering keeping them!!

Worthy 6 euros

RIMG0019

You all will agree that studying can't be all... and that's why on Saturday morning I visited the flea market! (That and the fact that I hadn't been to since three Saturdays before and won't be able to go the next two.)

This is what I found:

RIMG0021
Shoes (for me o for a drag queen? I don't know!): 3 euros

RIMG0023
Lingerie: 2 euros

RIMG0022
Bag: 1 euro

I didn't buy crappy but quality stuff. The bag is leather made, the shoes are real suede and the lingerie is Belcor. It was not bad! :)))

_______________

Goddess shoes

Yesterday night, I wore my Minna Parikkas for the first time. They're so comfy and gorgeous that I felt fabulous in them. And I was talking to my friend J. (who is a man and doesn't care about shoes!) when he told me that three women were admiring my shoes. (Literally: Tienes a esas tres marujas fascinadas con tus zapatos, llevan un buen rato comentándolo). It was delightful.

A new treasure

Ayer estrené mis maravillosos zapatos nuevos y me sentí divina de la muerteeeee.

The best sightseeing tour

Did you think I wouldn't show you my English purchases??? Well, these are my favourite:

Some vintage stuff, like this dress and this AMAZING belt.

vintage dress

Best belt ever

Those purchases in the always-worth-it visit to Primark, where I came across lovely stuff for (you know) ridiculous prices:

Primark london

This book I bought at Borders, which is the kind of book I'd never buy in Spanish but I always get when I travel abroad (It's much easier for me to read in English that kind of bad literature and they're always interesting!):

borders

Ups, and this belt for 4 pounds, which was exactly what I was looking for!:

new look

My English teacher

Wow, I'm so nervous today! Let me tell you.

I'd been studying English since I was six, but never ended the oficial courses because I didn't have place. As soon as I came to live to Melilla, I found the perfect chance to do it, so I started the Advanced level at the Oficial School. Everything ok so far.

The teacher happened to be a substitute (I do not have anything against them, I do am as well, but she was not able to speak English fluently!). I mean she had studied filology but never lived abroad. She has two months of holiday every summer and spends her vacation in Spain. She is the least worldwide girl I've ever seen, and her English is nasty!

First, I tried to ignore it, so as to pass the final exam and to go on with the last course. Therefore, I had to shout my mouth once, twice, a million times, whenever she pronounced 'verb' like /'berf/ or 'sunbathe' like 'sun'+'bath', when she explained that 'caught' was pronounced like 'laugh', or when she crossed out 'have/take a nap' in my writings to write 'sleep a nap' instead. She was not only stupid but she didn't prepare her lessons ever.

I'm not a native speaker and make many mistakes, but that was getting out of my nerves, when it was the last straw: the oral exam. I was asked about science, I talked for fifteen minutes about my lack of interest in science and I failed. She wanted me to say 'the words of the book' (that's what she told me).

I was so dissapointed that I asked to be taken my oral exam by another teacher or, at least, to be recorded. And today I had the answer: somebody called me today from the School to tell me I'm going to be evaluated by a tribunal of three teachers.

That will be on 11th Sept, and I'll tell you then. Meanwhile, I'm a bit nervous.

ESO ME PASA POR CHULA. JAJAJA.

New background... and dress.

I tried to take my first picture of an outfit in my new house, and I realized that at 8.00 am all shots were against-the-light in this side of the house... :S

Finally, I managed to take a pic to show you this dress I bought at Spitafields market, one of my favourite places in London. All those streets between Liverpool Street and Brick Lane are amazing!!

I (L) London

I love London. This was the sixth time I was there and it may be the one that I've come back more in love with. It was my first time after having known New York and London is still my favourite after all. I adore its people, everyone looks so stylish. Every corner has a market. Vintage is a real thing. I love the music. Just walking down its streets. Definitely, I chose the wrong life. In my heart I feel londoner.

And now, this is my new place. My friend B. is now my flatmate B. I had to choose a very small room with a not-so-small wardrobe or a not-so-small room with the smallest wardrobe ever. Hard job.

In two weeks I have my exam and have a lot to study. I don't feel like dressing up or something but I'll be here back soon since I have some new stuff to wear, including the wonderful blouse the sisters sent to me (Thank you, girls!) and fabulous sights from my new home that will probably be perfect as background of the outfits... The PARQUE HERNÁNDEZ.

That's all folks. Wow, my post today is as long as a Fashionfreak's! :P
